Since becoming president of CONEXIS in March of 2005, Michael has created a company culture around delivering service excellence to all clients, brokers, business partners, and participants. Michael established CONEXIS as the service benchmark for the benefits administration industry by being the first company to offer extensive performance standards and guarantees to all clients. Michael joined CONEXIS as chief sales and marketing officer in 2003. He has more than 20 years of executive experience in managed health care and employee benefits and is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Michael received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.
Allen is responsible for all aspects of the client experience, from sales and marketing to implementation and ongoing customer service. He also oversees product development and product management. Allen has been a benefits industry executive for more than 25 years and served as past president of the Texas Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU) and the Dallas Association of Health Underwriters (DAHU). Allen has a bachelor's of science in business administration in finance and banking from the University of Arkansas.
Eva joined CONEXIS in August of 2000 and has oversight of the participant experience including claims, written correspondence, and call center functions. Eva also has responsibility for information technology, security, compliance, contract administration, quality assurance, training, project management and Six Sigma, as well as other key areas for CONEXIS. She is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and is an active member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, ECFC, and National Association of Health Underwriters. She previously served as legislative chair of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) local chapter. Eva brings more than 30 years of executive experience in operations, managed health care, medical underwriting, health care legislation, and employee benefits.
Clinton has served as the Chief Financial Officer for The Word & Brown Companies since June of 2006. Clinton graduated cum laude from California State University, Chico with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and computer science. Clinton also is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Life and Health Agent in the State of California. Before joining Word & Brown, he worked as VP of Finance for Nationwide Insurance Companies; VP of Finance, VP of Operations, and VP Controller for CalFarm Insurance Company; VP of Finance for Foundation Health Plans; and Audit Manager of KPMG. Clinton is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants, the California Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Health Underwriters. Gee received the “Golden Eagle Award for Outstanding Career Management” from the National Association of Health Underwriters.
Gordon oversees all areas of information technology for CONEXIS, which includes software design, development and maintenance, as well as information management, EDI, infrastructure and telecom. Gordon has over 30 years of IT experience and holds various certifications including CMMI, MCSD.Net, MCAD.Net, and Security+. Prior to joining CONEXIS in 2006, Gordon worked for more than 15 years for the largest computer manufacturer in the world and consulted many Fortune 500 companies. Gordon received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Dan has been with CONEXIS for more than 10 years, playing a key role in the development of CONEXIS systems and business processes. Dan's areas of responsibility include print services, document services, document processing, optical character recognition (OCR) processes, and image workflow management. These functions play an integral role in allowing CONEXIS to provide industry leading services and meet or exceed service level objectives. Dan has more than 15 years of experience in process design and electronic service delivery.
Carol is responsible for managing all client services for the California office. Carol has more than 20 years of management experience, and has been with CONEXIS since 1993. She was the first employee to receive the company’s “Service of Unequalled Excellence” award for exemplary service.
Nicky has been with CONEXIS since 2002, and as the AVP of shared services, she has oversight of compliance, information security, vendor management, and contract administration. Her CONEXIS tenure also includes being the director of compliance, with responsibilities for legal and regulatory compliance with the law, regulations, and other mandates associated with CONEXIS services. Nicky has more than 15 years of management experience in various positions involving implementation, account management, and compliance. Her BS degree is from the University of Tulsa, and she is Certified in Flexible Compensation (CFC), COBRA Administration Specialist (CAS), and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
In 2010, Dee Dee joined CONEXIS as assistant vice president of participant services, and she is responsible for managing the participant experience for the claims, call center, and written correspondence departments. Along with extensive knowledge of the health industry, Dee Dee brings nearly 30 years of experience in directing multiple functions within claims management, customer service, enrollment, billing, and appeals for multiple products including PPO, HMO, COBRA, and FSA. Prior to joining CONEXIS, Dee Dee was a director at a Dallas-based insurance company, and for 10 years, the vice president of operations with a national PPO located in California.
Jason started his career with CONEXIS in 1997 as a claims processor in our flexible spending accounts division before transferring to the CONEXIS sales team in April 1998. His tenure with CONEXIS includes sales representative and sales management positions. Prior to assuming his current role, Jason was the director of small group sales for CONEXIS.
Sherry joined CONEXIS in 2004 and previously served as senior director of reimbursement accounts. As client services assistant vice president, she is responsible for client services related to account-based services, including flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs), and commuter benefits programs. Sherry has more than 24 years of management experience in the health insurance and customer service industries. In 2010, she received the CONEXIS “Service of Unequalled Excellence” Award for exemplary service. Her professional designations include Flexible Compensation Certification (CFC), FLMI and Loma Professional of Customer Service.
Robyn joined CONEXIS in 2002 and is responsible for product oversight, benefit card services, and installation for account-based services in coordination with internal implementation and account management. She also leads product development and management initiatives for CONEXIS, overseeing the team responsible for developing new products and enhancements. With 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry, her background includes compliance, training, claims administration, account management, and product management. Robyn has a BBA from the University of Central Oklahoma and is certified in Flexible Compensation Instruction (CFCI) by the Employer’s Council on Flexible Compensation (ECFC) in addition to certification as a COBRA Administration Specialist (CAS).
Brad joined CONEXIS in 2000 as Regional Vice President of Sales for the west after a successful sales career with Prudential Healthcare. He was promoted to AVP of Sales in 2010 to lead the CONEXIS sales organization. Through Brad’s experience in sales and solid understanding of technology, he is uniquely equipped to assist his team in developing well-designed solutions to meet virtually any unique client requirement. Brad received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California.
Jennifer began her career with our parent company, Word & Brown, in 2001 as manager of telecommunications and transferred to CONEXIS as director of IT support services in 2004. With more than 20 years of management experience, she now has oversight of the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Academy of Continuing Excellence (ACE) training team. In 2007, Jennifer initiated the Six Sigma team at CONEXIS and obtained the certification of Green Belt, Black Belt, and then Master Black Belt. In 2012 she obtained her PMP certification. Her degrees from California State University include a BA and an MBA with an emphasis in Finance.
Ed joined CONEXIS in 2004 and is currently responsible for client services related to our COBRA and Direct Bill products. Previously, he served as director of client services, specializing in business development and strategic alliances. Ed has more than 17 years of industry experience working with large national insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and other vendors specializing in health insurance benefits, benefits administration, cost containment, provider networks, and staffing. His BA degree in Communications is from Marist College.
